You are receiving this information because you are a customer to Creditsafe and has access to our webservices in your agreement. On Wednesday November 8th at 09:00 AM (Swedish time), we will update the SSL certificate that is being used to encrypt data between us. This is something that has to be done every two year to ensure the encryption is up-to-date and to re-validate that Creditsafe is the owner of webservice.creditsafe.se.
If you are not using any of Creditsafe’s integrated services, you can disregard this information.
What do you need to do?
You need to check how the installation of the new certificate will be done in your system. Most systems will update this certificate automatically (and you don’t need to do anything), but in some systems, a manual installation may be required. This depends on how your system is set up. Because of this it’s important that this information reaches your IT department.
Unfortunately Creditsafe has no way of determine if the certificate will be installed automatically or if it has to be done manually. Only your IT department can check this.
To make sure the data that is sent between you as a customer and Creditsafe’s integrated services is encrypted, an SSL certificate (Secure Socket Layer) is used. This certificate has a period of validity of two years from the date is was issued and therefore need to be updated every second year. If your system isn’t updated with the new version of the certificate, whether it’s done automatically or manual, your access to our webservices will cease.
The SSL certificate update will be done on Wednesday November 8th at 09:00 AM (Swedish time). We will communicate the new certificate by e-mail two weeks in advance, on Ocotober 25th. Please note, if the certificate needs to be installed manually, this has to be done at the same time the installation is done on our side. Otherwise your access will cease since we have different versions of the certificate.
